Banquo
Banquo was a close companion to Macbeth. His character is ambitious, skeptical, and controlled. He journeyed home from battle with Macbeth and they both heard their fates. Banquo learned that his descendants would be kings but he wouldn't. He became suspicious of Macbeth after King Duncan was murdered. He was then murdered by a group of three assassins while riding with his son.
"What, can the devil speak true?" - Banquo's reaction when the Witches' prophecies begin to come true.
